AICPA Names New Vice Chair
Andrew M. Cohen, CPA was recently elected Vice Chaired of the American Institute of CPAs Joint Trial Board for the 2013-14 year. Cohen is Partner-in-Charge of WeiserMazars LLP’s Long Island practice and currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee. He has also served on the AICPA’s Professional Ethics Executive Committee and Accounting and Review Services Committee. Cohen graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with his bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Baker Tilly Selects Chief Human Resources Officer
Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP recently announced the selection of Charlie Judy as Chief Human Resources Officer. Judy brings to the firm extensive experience in developing human resource departments. In his new role, Judy will manage the firm’s human resources operations and talent management practices.
