Asset Panda
From the 2018 reviews of Inventory Management systems.
Asset Panda is a flexible online asset management tracking program. Well suited to service businesses that maintain multiple assets, Asset Panda does not offer typical inventory management capability, though basic inventory tracking is available in the application. Asset Panda offers mobile capability and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Android smart phones and tablets. The mobile app also offers convenient inventory/asset check in and check out from any location and completely integrates with the online application.
Along with complete asset management capability, Asset Panda also offers Support Ticket Software, which allows users to manage support requests and service orders in one central location. Also available is Leased Equipment Tracking and the Asset Panda Compliance Configuration, which offers management of employee equipment, including both training and compliance, which includes competency testing and results.
Asset Panda offers an intuitive user interface for both the online and the mobile applications, with users able to customize the interface to suit their needs. A custom dashboard is available to manage all assets and further customization is available throughout the application. Asset Panda tracks assets and all related asset details such as insurance policy and warranty information, repair and maintenance schedules, and depreciation. Users can add photos, documents, and videos to any asset tracked in Asset Panda, and can track both assets and inventory by serial number, brand, or model name. Asset Panda also supports multiple locations, easily tracking assets and inventory for all locations entered in the product.
Asset Panda supports a variety of barcode types including QR Codes, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 128, and others. The product also offers users the ability to generate barcodes with the Barcode Generator option in Asset Panda, which generates a barcode template and is designed to be used with Avery labels. Once the labels are completed users can determine how many to print, download the newly created barcode template as a PDF and print the labels.
Asset Panda is designed to manage fixed assets such as tools, equipment, computers, leases, and parts and does not offer kitting or work in progress options that manufacturers typically use in building products. Though basic inventory management is available, multiple pricing levels and discount options are not offered in Asset Panda.
Asset Panda offers good reporting options for managing assets, including the Asset Listing, Asset by Location, Asset by Status, and Assets by Employee. A basic inventory report is available as well. Both Check -In and Check-Out reports can be processed, and all reports can be previewed on screen prior to printing. Users can also edit all reports prior to processing. All Asset Panda reports are in a PDF format, and users can export any report as a CSV file for customization if desired. Users can also process reports from their mobile device if needed.
Asset Panda contains good import/export capability, with users able to import or export files to or from a variety of third party applications, with all import/export data using a CSV file. The product also offers complete integration with a variety of applications including Zen Desk, G Suite, FreshService, Zebra, and Avery Labels. Integration with other applications such as Zapier, Salesforce, and QuickBooks are currently in the works and should be offered shortly.
Asset Panda offers excellent help and support resources, with users able to access help directly from within the application, including a searchable knowledgebase, a variety of user guides and videos, and FAQ’s. Users can easily obtain support via email directly from Asset Panda, and toll-free telephone support is available as well.
Designed for the service industry or for businesses that manage a high number of assets, Asset Panda offers all the features and functionality that businesses require in order to know where their assets and inventory are at any time. Subscription pricing for Asset Panda starts at $1,400 per year, with pricing based on the number of assets that need to be tracked, not the number of system users. Complete pricing details are available directly from Asset Panda, and those interested can register for a free-14-day trial that can be downloaded from the Asset Panda website.
