Track1099
From the 2019 reviews of W2 and 1099 Systems.
Track 1099 offers online W-2 and 1099 processing and is a good fit for businesses and accounting firms of any size. Users can sign up for Track 1099 at no cost and will be charged only after data has been entered and an e-filing date scheduled.
Track 1099 guides new users through the entire form entry process, with users having the option to manually enter data or import it from other applications. A great feature is the forms summary option, which provides a detailed summary of all forms processed for each payer, with a green color next to the recipient indicating the form is ready for IRS e-filing and recipient e-delivery, while yellow indicates ready for IRS e-file and postal delivery while a red color next to the recipient means that there are errors that need to be corrected for e-filing. Also available is the All Payers dashboard that provides an overview of all activity and the current status of all e-filed forms.
Track 1099 supports a variety of year-end compliance forms including 1042-S, 1094/1095-C, 1097-BTC, 1098, 1098-C, 1098-E, 1098-Q, 1098-T, 1099-A, 1099-B, 1099-C, 1099-CAP, 1099-DIV, 1099-G, 1099-H, 1099-INT, 1099-K, 1099-LTC, 1099-MISC, 1099-OID, 1099-PATR, 1099-Q, 1099-R, 1099-S, 1099-SA, 3921, 3922, 5498, 5498-ESA, 5498-SA, W-2/2C, W-2G.
Accounting firms can choose to have completed forms delivered to recipients electronically, though Track 1099 also offers a postal option, where they will print and mail W-2s and 1099s to recipients at an additional cost. Track 1099 will e-file to states that participate in the combined federal and state program, and will complete state forms for users to submit to their state tax agency.
Track1099 includes TIN match capability, and allows firms to submit a single file that includes all form recipients by simply clicking on the All Companies link. Track 1099 retains data from prior years, with users able to roll forward information as needed, eliminating the need to re-enter data.
Track 1099 offers solid integration options including the ability to import data from a variety of popular third-party applications including QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Bill.com, Intacct, NetSuite, and Xero. The product also includes a CSV template for importing data from other applications.
Track 1099 offers a complete online tutorial, as well as a good selection of videos that cover topics ranging from a basic product overview to CSV importing, corrections, and ACA filing. An FAQ page is available, offering both general information, and form specific questions. All Track 1099 support is handled via email, with users able to submit questions or issues directly from the Track 1099 website.
Track 1099 is a good e-filing solution for businesses and accounting professionals alike, with pricing affordable for both. Those interested in Track 1099 can create an account at no cost, and will be charged only after completing forms and scheduling a day for e-filing. Track 1099 also offers a flexible price structure, with pricing starting at $2.90 for the first 10 forms, with the next 150 forms running $1.99 each. Those filing more than 160 forms will see the price drop to $.99 each, with a further reduction for those processing more than 1,000. Pricing includes IRS and SSA e-filing, e-corrections for recipients, e-delivery to recipients, and combined federal and state 1099 filing, as well as prepared forms for individual state filing for states not in the combined program.
