Mazars in the US Hires Alan Gutierrez-Arana as Principal
Mazars, a leading audit, tax and advisory firm in the US, recently announced that Alan Gutierrez-Arana has joined as a Principal in its Cyber Practice. With more than 25 years of experience advising clients and delivering data security controls assessments, as well as regulatory compliance consulting for a broad range of insurance, banking, finance and technology entities, Alan will help advance sensitive data compliance initiatives for the Cyber Practice and its clients.
Alan has deep knowledge of payment card industry controls for merchants and service providers that utilize complex infrastructure to conduct payment card transactions, specifically for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies with a presence in North America, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe.
Alan received his master’s degree in information security from Capella University and his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Walden University. Alan also holds the following certifications: CDPS, CISM, CISA and CRISC. He also is a qualified security assessor (QSA) and PCIP with the PCI Security Standards Council.
Bennett Thrasher Promotes Courtney Edwards to Chief Information Officer
Bennett Thrasher, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing certified public accounting and consulting firms, recently announced the promotion of Courtney Edwards to Chief Information Officer.
In the newly created role, Courtney will focus on evolving the firm’s technology strategy and solutions, while she continues to drive innovation across the firm.
Edwards has over 20 years of experience in information technology and has a diverse background in both the legal and accounting field. She previously served as Bennett Thrasher’s Chief Innovation & Process Officer.
Nathan Wechsler Welcomes New Associate
Concord, NH – The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA recently announced the addition of Brianna Sawyer to the firm.
Sawyer started at Nathan Wechsler & Company as an intern before taking on a full-time position as an associate. In this capacity, she performs work on a variety of clients, including accounting, auditing, compliance, financial statement preparation, tax return preparation, and special projects.
Sawyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. She completed her undergraduate degree in three years and graduated summa cum laude. Sawyer recently earned her Master of Professional Accountancy (Plus 1) degree, also from Southern New Hampshire University. Outside of the office, Sawyer enjoys crocheting, roller-skating, and taking nature walks with her boyfriend and her dog.

| DALLAS – FORVIS is pleased to welcome Jay Kadi as a new partner in the Dallas market. He joins the firm’s audit practice and will focus primarily on the technology, telecom and energy sectors. Prior to FORVIS, Kadi was an assurance managing director for a large international firm. He brings more than 18 years of accounting and audit experience serving public and private audit clients in various industries, most extensively in the technology, oil and gas, media and entertainment, telecom and diversified industrial products sectors. He also spent two years overseas where he worked on international audit engagements, primarily in the energy space. Kadi holds a B.B.A. in accounting and M.B.A. in finance from the University of North Texas in Denton. He is a member of the AICPA and is a CFA charter holder from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts. |
Nathan Wechsler Welcomes New Associate
The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA recently announced the addition of Robert Dudley to the firm.
Dudley joins Nathan Wechsler & Company as an associate. In this capacity, he performs work on a variety of clients, including accounting, compliance, tax return preparation, and special projects.
Dudley holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ashford University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting at Southern New Hampshire University and expects to graduate in December 2023. In his free time, Dudley enjoys kayaking and enjoying the New Hampshire countryside while motorcycling with his wife.

Director of Business Development
Premier advisory firm, Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF), recently announced that Eric Wendler has joined the team as the Firm’s Director of Business Development.
As Director of Business Development, Eric is responsible for developing new business relationships with organizations and business owners requiring audit, tax and advisory services. He also collaborates with Firm leadership to determine new business strategies and develop new service lines. Additionally, Eric represents BSSF in numerous business and industry affiliated groups.
Eric has over 35 years of business development, relationship management and marketing experience. He has worked with companies ranging from privately held middle market companies to Fortune 500 companies. He is also a member of several professional associations, including the Association for Corporate Growth and the Greater Baltimore Economic Forum and serves as a speaker for The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education.
While Eric will be based in the Frederick, Maryland BSSF Office, he has roots in the Central Pennsylvania region. He was born and raised in Hanover and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University. He also previously lived in Camp Hill and managed a sales office in Harrisburg.

Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz Adds New Team Members
Dennis Dierolf joined BSSF as the Client Service Coordinator, a newly created role at BSSF to manage and coordinate team member assignments to provide the highest level of service to the Firm’s clients. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Ohio Christian University. Dennis is located in the BSSF office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Christopher McCormick joined BSSF as an Audit Staff Accountant. He is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting with a minor in Fraud Examination and a master’s degree in Accountancy. Christopher is located in the BSSF office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Amber Miller interned with the Firm and returns to BSSF as an Audit Staff Accountant. She graduated from Messiah College with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Amber is located in the BSSF office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Eric Zimmerman interned with the Firm in Spring of 2021, and returns to BSSF as a Staff Accountant on our tax team. He is a recent graduate of Shippensburg University and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting. Eric is located in the BSSF office in Frederick, Maryland.
