The Alaska Society of CPAs (AKCPA) has announced the upcoming CPE courses in November:

The Illinois CPA Society held their annual CPA Day of Service on September 23, 2023, with hundreds of CPAs turning out to take part in a variety of individual and group charitable and community service activities. Assisting at animal shelters, preparing meals at area food banks, and feeding the homeless were just a few of the activities the nearly 900 CPAs participated in, with additional activities planned for later in the year.
Registration is now open for the Iowa Society of CPAs (ISCPA) 2-Day Federal Tax Update: Individual and Business Conference, which will take place November 6 & 7, 2023. This in-person event is designed to review all upcoming tax changes that will impact for-profit taxpayers, with individual updates presented on day one of the conference, with business updates covered on day two.
The member price for this in-person conference is $485.00 for ISCPA members, with non-members paying $595.00.

The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) recently reached out to Congress to support two bills that would delay the start date for the Beneficial Ownership Reporting requirements. The bills would delay the start date until rulemaking is finalized, with all new rules taking effect on the same date. Other groups advocating for a delay include AICPA, Latino Tax Prop, National Association of Black Accountants, National Association of Tax Professionals, and several others.
The Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) is presenting Revised Wisconsin LLC Statute, which will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. The presentation will focus on several important changes that will impact any LLCs that were formed on or after January 1, 2023. Member pricing is $59.00, with the non-member price running $79.00.
