The West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (WVSCPA) is offering an Introduction to Crypto Currency and Tax Planning. The webinar, which will take place over Zoom, on January 24, 2024. The webinar is free for West Virginia Society of CPAs members, who can register here.
The Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) has published the details of the MSCPA Annual Convention. The convention will take place June 19-23, 2024 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida. For more information or to book a room, visit the convention page on the MSCPA website.
The Michigan Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) is offering a bootcamp for CPAs interested in learning about ChatGPT. The Chat GPT Hands-On Bootcamp for CPAs with John Higgins will take place on January 18, 2024 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids. The in person-live class will cover the ChatGPT benefits and features and identify practical applications for the application in accounting, finance, and tax. Early registration is encouraged, with the cost of the bootcamp is $175 for MICPA members and $250 for non-members through December 21.
The Kentucky Society Certified Public Accountants (KYCPA) announced their newest board members, whose terms began in July 2023 and will continue through 2026.

The California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) is set to host the International Tax Virtual Conference. Taking place on January 31, 2024, the conference is directed at tax professionals that advise nonresidents with U.S. investments and U.S. citizens living or doing business abroad.
The conference will run from 8:30 AM to 4:00 P.M. PT. The early bird cost to CalCPA members is $325 with nonmembers paying $435.
