State CPA Society News & Updates is a selection of recent announcements and initiatives by CPA associations in the United States and its territories.
The Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) is hosting the 2024 Member Recognition Banquet & Annual Business Meeting. The banquet will take place on May 9, 2024 from 5PM to 10PM. Free for WICPA members, you can register for the event here.
The Utah Association of CPAs (UACPA) is offering Accounting and Auditing for Small Businesses. The webinar will take place on May 15, 2024 and is available to UACPA members for $260, with a non-member cost of $310. Those interested can register online.
The Oregon Society of CPAs (OSCPA) is hosting a series of industry specific conferences in May 2024. Registration is not yet open for these conferences.
- Not-for Profit Conference – which will be held on April 22, 2024 at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. The conference will also be available as a webcast.
- Construction Industry Conference – which will be held on May 1, 2024 at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. The conference will also be available as a webcast.
- Governmental Accounting and Auditing Conference -which will be held on May 14-15, 2024 at the Boulder Falls Inn and Conference Center in Lebanon, Oregon. The conference will also be available as a webcast.
- ERISA Conference – which will take place on May 21, 2024 at the OSCPA Center in Beaverton, OR. The conference will also be available as a webinar.
- Farming, Ranching, and Agribusiness Conference – which will take place on May 3, 2024 and is offered as a webcast only.
The New York Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) recently added an additional benefit for all NYSSCPA members; free, unlimited access to all CPE courses in their Self Study Course Catalog. This will allow all NYSSCPA members to choose the CPE courses they need and study at their own pace at no cost.
The Minnesota Society of CPAs (MNCPA) is hosting its next New CPA Recognition Dinner on May 30, 2024.The dinner is hosted twice annually to welcome newly certified Minnesota CPAs. The fall diner will take place on October 29, 2024.
The Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants (IDCPA) is offering the CFO Series in 2024. The series includes the following courses:
- 8-21-2024 – The Effective CFO
- 10-23-2024 – Chief Reviewer
- 10-24-2024 – Management Superpowers
- 12-5-2024 – Advanced Profit Enhancements
