Brown Plus Welcomes New Team Members
Leading accounting and advisory firm,Brown Plus, recently announced the hiring of two new team members in Pennsylvania and Maryland:
Helen Badman joined the Firm as an Employee Specialist. She brings over 20 years of experience, including implementing talent management strategies, conducting workforce planning, optimizing human resources (HR) processes and full-cycle recruitment. She is a graduate of Penn State University. Helen is located at the Brown Plus office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Makaloba (‘Mak’) Barandao joined Brown Plus as an Audit Senior Associate, specializing in accounting and auditing services. Makearned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Towson University. He is located at the Brown Plus office in Westminster, Maryland.
Rinke Joins CohnReznick as International Tax Principal
CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, recently announced that Daniel Rinke, JD, LLM, has joined the firm as a principal in its International Tax practice. Based in Massachusetts, Rinke has more than two decades of international tax experience, notably involving cross-border transactional and operational planning for multinational corporations. His diverse industry experience includes pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, chemicals, semiconductors, retail, and finance.
Rinke is focused on providing strategic guidance that helps clients address changing macroeconomic conditions, reconfigure operational profiles to improve business sustainability, and navigate complex global tax laws and regulations.
Before joining CohnReznick, Rinke was an international tax principal at a Big Four firm managing large teams of international tax consultants (U.S. and non-U.S.). He earned a JD, cum laude, from Syracuse University School of Law; an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law; and a BA in Philosophy, cum laude, from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
CohnReznick Establishes Merger Integration and Carve-out Services Practice
CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, recently announced the expansion of its Value360 practice’s strategic lifecycle solutions with the establishment of a dedicated Merger Integration and Carve-out Services practice.
David McKee has joined the firm as Merger Integration and Carve-out Services practice leader along with David Morris, Managing Director, and four senior core team members. David and his team come to CohnReznick with decades of M&A experience advising corporate and private equity clients from Big 4 and other leading M&A advisory firms.
David McKee
David McKee has more than 25 years advising financial sponsors and corporate clients on strategic buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions including carve-outs and integrations, performance improvement, and complex transformation programs. Prior to joining CohnReznick, McKee held M&A advisory leadership roles at a major advisory, assurance, and tax firm as well as at private equity focused financial and technology firm. He earned a BA in Business Administration from Birmingham Southern College.
David Morris
David Morris has more than 20 years of experience providing merger integration, carve-out, and transaction due diligence advisory services to private equity and corporate clients. He has supported 100s of transactions globally in industries including distribution, healthcare and medical devices, insurance, and industrial manufacturing. Morris earned an MBA in Finance, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics and Asian Studies from Michigan State University.

Baker Tilly Names Lynette Stolarzyk Managing Partner of Tax Services
Leading advisory CPA firm Baker Tilly US, LLP (Baker Tilly) recently announced the appointment of Lynette Stolarzyk J.D., LL.M., as the managing partner of tax services. Effective June 1, Stolarzyk succeeds Craig Weaver, who retires after a distinguished 20-year career with the organization.
With nine years of experience at Baker Tilly, Stolarzyk has demonstrated remarkable leadership and strategic vision. Most recently, she spearheaded the firm’s strategic growth in the Bay Area market, showcasing a profound understanding of client needs and market dynamics. In her new role, Stolarzyk will provide leadership, management and strategic direction to drive growth in the firm’s tax services. Her experience and insights, along with her contributions to the board of partners and enterprise initiatives, position her to further elevate the firm’s tax offerings.
Stolarzyk joined the Baker Tilly partnership in 2015 and has a rich background in providing tax consulting and compliance services for public and private companies. Her dual perspective as an advisor and client over the last two decades uniquely equips her to address client needs and shape opportunities.
Centri Bolsters Healthcare Practice with Addition of Managing Director Kevin Dadey
Centri Business Consulting, LLC, one of the industry’s fastest-growing and most respected accounting and advisory firms, recently announced the hiring of Kevin Dadey as Managing Director and Healthcare Practice Leader.
A well-respected healthcare industry veteran with over 25 years of public accounting experience, Kevin’s leadership will further enhance Centri’s service offerings for healthcare clients, including academic medical centers, fully integrated health systems, community hospitals, physician groups, private equity-backed portfolio companies, digital health, healthtech companies, and more.
Kevin brings a deep understanding of the healthcare space, having held a variety of public accounting, consulting, and internal positions. Most recently, he served as Director of Finance and CFO in-waiting for a community health system. Currently, Kevin serves as the president-elect, treasurer, and board member for the Western Pennsylvania Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He holds a B.S. in Accounting from West Virginia University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Crowe LLP announces CEO succession plan
Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting, and technology firm, recently announced the appointment of Steve Strammello, 52, as its CEO-elect. He will succeed Mark Baer to assume the CEO role on January 1, 2025, the start of the firm’s fiscal year. Baer will conclude his full 4-year term on December 31, 2024, and, together with Crowe’s board of directors, he will begin the customary transition process to ensure a seamless transition of leadership to Strammello.
The Crowe board of directors, which governs the firm, appointed the CEO-elect after an extensive vetting process.
The firm’s CEO succession plan includes a defined transition period for Baer and Strammello to work together. Baer will continue serving as a Crowe partner upon completion of his full 4-year term as CEO. As immediate-past CEO, Baer will leverage his incredible experience, vision, and commitment to quality to drive market growth and talent initiatives for the firm while advancing trust within the profession.
Strammello, a 30-year veteran of the firm, currently serves as the Global Markets Leader for Crowe. Previously, he served in numerous senior leadership roles for the firm, including Chief Risk Officer and managing partner of the firm’s Risk Consulting practice. He spent the first nine years of his career in Crowe’s Audit & Assurance business.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and resides in Carmel, Indiana.
