Jared Ballew currently serves as the Vice President of Government Relations for Taxwell, representing both Drake Software and TaxAct products, as a tax administration professional with 21 years of experience. Ballew currently serves as the President of the National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP), promoting standardization and simplification between government tax agencies and the tax processing industry. Ballew served as the 2023 Chairman of the Congressionally established Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee(ETAAC).  Ballew is also actively engaged in the Council for Electronic Revenue Communications Advancement (CERCA) and the Security Summit, serving as a co-lead for the Tax Pro Working Group. He holds a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University.

Gail Perry is the editor-in-chief of CPA Practice Advisor. A veteran of accounting journalism, she also speaks at many accounting events, trade shows, and webinars. She has taught introductory accounting and personal finance courses, and she is a former computer applications instructor at the Indiana CPA Society. Gail is a member of the AICPA’s PFS Credential Committee.
