Businesses are increasingly reliant on mobile technologies for many aspects of operations, from management, to sales, to client service, according to a new survey.

Cloud accounting and payroll software maker AccountantsWorld is partnering with HBK CPAs & Consultants (HBK), a Top 100 accounting and wealth management services firm based in Youngstown, Ohio.

The cloud-based small business expense management system Tallie now offers full integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online, the company recently announced. Tallie demonstrated the new integration features during the Scaling New Heights conference in San Antonio.

Cloud accounting company Xero and cloud CRM maker Constant Contact are hoping to make the process easier and more productive.

Wave, which makes a suite of small business financial tools, has launched a new app called Mobile Invoice by Wave. The app features one-tap activation of credit card processing, and no-fuss instant integration with Wave’s accounting tools, the app simplifies the entire process of getting paid for small businesses. Invoice by Wave launches today for iOS, with the Android version to follow.

Despite the growth of cloud-based technology, many accountants are hesitant to move all of their client data and firm management systems online. A survey conducted by CPA2Biz last fall found that 43 percent of CPAs have their doubts about the security of cloud-based applications, feeling “somewhat confident” or “not confident at all.”

Cloud-based payroll services provider ZenPayroll has announced that it is joining Intuit’s Apps.com partner platform and will offer a seamless integration with QuickBooks Online.
